Clients Travelling This Winter? Don’t Forget Travel Insurance!

Travel BenefitsA recent article from Advisor.ca reminds us that as the weather gets colder, Canadians often seek warmer pastures.

According to the Travel Health Insurance Association of Canada, 36% of Canadians are planning to travel this winter! With over a third of Canadians planning a trip abroad, it’s our responsibility to ensure our clients are educated about the need for travel insurance.

If you’re looking for more information to give your clients about out of country medical insurance, we encourage you to read our previous blog on the subject, “Travelling Abroad? Get ‘Out of Country’ Medical Insurance – You’ll Thank Us”.

Remember, although provincial Medicare (OHIP in Ontario) may contribute a small portion of vacation health expenses, travellers without insurance can be stuck with large bills.
