Plan Highlights

  • Pick and choose your benefits and build your own plan based on your compensation philosophy, business objectives, budget, and employee groups (executives, management, hourly staff, seasonal employees, etc).
  • Use the flexibility to reward employees, increase retention, control costs, and many other business benefits. It’s up to you.
  • No need to reinvent the wheel; we can copy elements of your existing plan that you like and remove the elements that you don’t. (e.g. you don’t have to include Life Insurance, LTD, Massage, etc.)
  • Create an Executive Class and add Executive Benefits to your conventional plan.

Coverage Amount

  • Coverage limits and percentage paid (e.g. 80%) are customized and set by employer.

Administration Fees

  • 10-20% of contributions
  • No setup fees, annual fees, per-claim fees, or fees for booklets.

Catastrophic Benefits

Group Life Insurance

Provide financial assistance to the beneficiary in case of an employee’s death. Can be a flat amount or percentage of earnings.

Accidental Death and Dismemberment

In the case of accidental death, provides financial assistance to a beneficiary. In the case of dismemberment, a percentage of the full benefit will be paid to an employee.

Long-Term Disability

Provide income replacement when employees are disabled and unable to work for an extended period of time due to injury or illness.

Critical Illness

Provide employees and their families with support as they cope with difficult medical situations.

If the employee is diagnosed with a critical illness covered by the plan such as life-threatening cancer, stroke, or a heart attack, and survives a certain period after diagnosis, a lump sum payment is made to the employee.

Excess Medical Stop Loss Insurance
Protects the benefit plan from the risk of catastrophic healthcare costs which may include large drug claims, extended hospital stays, and private nursing.

Special Risk Insurance Coverage

If you have a requirement for special risk coverage, we will create a solution for you. Examples include travel to high-risk destinations and unique industry risks not typically covered by traditional carriers.

Routine Benefits

Routine Dental
Reimburse routine visits to the dentist. Plans typically include basic and preventative dental, endodontic and periodontal services.

Major Dental

Major dental coverage typically includes complex procedures like crowns, dentures, bridges, and root canals.

Orthodontia

Orthodontic coverage typically includes ortho-exams, x-rays, diagnostic radiographs and casts, braces, and retainers.

Prescription Drugs

Reimburse prescriptions at point of sale with a pay-direct drug card. Mitigate your risk using plan maximums, adding a formulary, dispensing fee maximums, and deductibles. Include everything from typical blood pressure medication to medical cannabis reimbursement.

Paramedical
Reimbursement for visits to licensed medical practitioners like physiotherapists, chiropractors, naturopaths, massage therapists, psychologists, etc. You have complete control over which to include and at what level.

Healthcare Spending Account

A pre-determined amount of money is provided to employees each benefit year for coverage of their medical and dental expenses. Eligible expenses are paid at 100% up to the total dollar amount available in the account. Can be used in conjunction with a benefits plan.

Vision Care
Reimbursement for eligible eye case expenses that typically include eye exams and prescription glasses or contacts. May include coverage for corrective laser eye surgery.

Medical Aid and Appliances
Durable medical equipment required for the treatment of acute and ongoing medical conditions, such as crutches, c-pap machines, custom knee braces, etc.

Hospital Care

Reimbursement for upgrades to a semi-private or private room. Plans may also include other medical facilities such as convalescent homes and substance abuse facilities.

Nursing Care
To help employees recover and recuperate in the comfort of their own home.

Survivor Benefits
In the event of an employee’s death, you can extend coverage to their surviving family.

Short-Term Disability

Income replacement for employees when they are disabled and unable to work for a short period of time (generally less than 17 weeks) due to injury or illness. Additional disability services also available.

Medical and Other Services

Out of Country Coverage and Supplementary Travel Assistance
Provides coverage for expenses from unexpected illness or injury while travelling outside of province or country. Coverage up to $5 million per trip.

Virtual Health
Reduce absenteeism and support employees with virtual health care services. Allow employees to consult with a health care professional by secure text and video through a smartphone app in real time.

HR Resources
